Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho is set to miss the start of the PSL season through an ankle injury. Goal has gathered that Mathoho will undergo further medical tests to determine the extent of his injury today (Monday) or Tuesday.
According to a source within the Amakhosi camp, Tower will be assessed by the club's medical team, who received a report from national team doctors late last week.
"I understand that the club got a medical report from national team doctors, but he will be assessed again, this time by the club, today or tommorrow," the source told Goal.
"However, it seems certain that he will miss the start of the season as he's in a moon boot," the source added.
Amakhosi visit Bidvest Wis in their opening match of the season on August 23, 2016.
